膨大な数の作品を組み合わせることによって一つの作品を作るモザイク画という手段を用います。
Hyouka use a mosaic technique that creates one piece of work by combining a huge number of works.
1つの作品を作る為に使用する作品数は最低２５００点以上、同一作品（複製）は使用しないという決まりを設けています。
その為、このモザイク画において同じ位置に同じ作品が同じ配列で並ぶことはありえません。
更にモザイクに段層を設け飛躍的に使用作品数が増えるようになっています。
モザイクの深度は全５段階とし詳細は下記のようになっています。
I have established a rule that the number of images used to make one piece of work is at least 2,500 pieces , and that the same image is not used.
This mosaic technique does not line up the same work in the same position.
And The number of works to be used has been increased dramatically by providing a step layer in the mosaic.
The depth of the mosaic is 5 stages in all and details are as follows.
・１st(First)
・２nd(Second)
・３rd(Third)
・４th(Fourth)
・５th(Fifth)
１st(First)
自動作画によって出来上がる最初の作品形態です。（図1）
作画時は200pixel ×200pixelのサイズ（約1,7cm）です。
１st(First)
It is the first original image. (Image 1)
The size is 200pixel ×200pixel (1,7cm)
２nd(Second)
自動作画によって出来た１st(First)を並び替えて作ったモザイク画です。
この２nd(Second)を出力する際は１st(First)の最低サイズは４mm
使用１st(First)数は２５００点です。
※この２nd(Second)から作品としての物質的出力を許可しています。

２nd(Second)
It is a mosaic picture created by rearranging 1st (First).
When outputting 2nd (Second), the minimum size of 1st (First) is 4 mm.
The 1st (First) to use is 2,500 pieces.
※
2nd (Second) is permitted to output as a work.

３rd(Third)
１st(First)の並び替えによって出来た２nd(Second)を並べて作るモザイク画です。
この３rd(Third)を出力する際は１st(First)の目視性を考え、適正サイズを1600mm×1600mm以上とし１st(First)の最低サイズは2mmです。
使用する１st(First)の数は１６万点以上となります。
現在の設備等で考えると３rd(Third)１点作るのに４ヶ月ほどかかります。

３rd(Third)
It is a mosaic picture that makes 2nd (Second) side by side.
When outputting this 3rd (Third), the size of 1st (First) is 1600 mm × 1600 mm or more and the minimum size of 1st (First) is 2 mm.
The number of 1st (First) used will be over 160,000 pieces.
The production period takes about 4 months.

４th(Fourth)
上記３rd(Third)の並び替えによって作るモザイク画です。
この４th(Fourth)は現在の所、制作困難の領域となります。
１st(First)の目視性を考え１st(First)のサイズを２mmとした場合４th(Fourth)の最低サイズは8000mm×8000mm以上、使用する１st(First)の数は16,000,000点以上となります。
現在の設備等で考えると４th(Fourth)１点作るのに約５年ほどかかります。
４th(Fourth)
It is a mosaic picture created by rearranging 3rd (Third).
4th (Fourth) is currently difficult to produce.
Even if 1st (First) size is 2mm, the minimum size of 4th (Fourth) is over 8000mm × 8000mm, the number of 1st (First) used is over 16,000,000 pieces.
It takes about 5 years to make it at my current facility.
５th(Fifth)
上記４th(Fourth)の並び替えによって作るモザイク画です。
５th(Fifth)は現在の所、制作不可能の領域となります。
上記４th(Fourth)と同じく１st(First)のサイズを2mmとした場合５th(Fifth)の最低サイズは80m×80m以上、使用する１st(First)の数は１６億点以上となり５th(Fifth)１点作るのに８０００年かかります。
現設備ではこの５th(Fifth)が氷菓の作業量を持ってしても不可能な作品形態となっています。
５th(Fifth)
It is a mosaic picture made by rearranging 4th (Fourth).
5th (Fifth) is currently unavailable for production.
As with 4th (Fourth), if the size of 1st (First) is set to 2 mm, the minimum size of 5th (Fifth) is 80 m × 80 m or more, the number of 1st (First) used is more than 1.6 billion points and 5th (Fifth) It takes 8000 years to make it.
In my equipment this 5th (Fifth) is a work that can not be produced even if
I have working amount of ice confections.
